Patient Profile: Look as young as you feel

Bev & Trish

With an energetic patient wanting her looks to align more with how she feels,  The Lotus Institute, Southport, used a long-lasting treatment to complete her treatment plan and to make this patient happy!

With Aquamid treatments with their patients going back to 2003 when the product was first approved by the TGA, The Lotus Institute, Southport, share the journey of a patient who wanted to include injectables as the finishing touch to her anti-aging plan.

Bev is approaching retirement age and has lost none of her zest for life. But she has been concerned that her appearance wasn’t matching how she felt on the inside. This lead her on a treatment journey to get the two to better align.

Around 10 years ago she had Aquamid to treat her marionette lines to feel more refreshed. She also has has Botox treatments to lift her brow, particularly in preparation for big celebrations like a wedding.

As part of her treatment plan she has PDT on her arms and décolletage and in mid-2021 she had a facelift. Although she was very happy with the results, with the  loss of volume in her cheeks and lips she decided to explore cosmetic injectable options to enhance these areas. The decision to have Aquamid being an easy one due to her past experience with the product, it’s long-lasting affect, a desire not to have regular top-ups and her confidence in The Lotus Institute to achieve her desired result.

After a consultation with Dr Peter Widdowson, Bev returned to the Lotus Institute where cosmetic injector, Patrica Hampson, treated her lips with 2ml of Aquamid and the malar area on each side with 1ml, taking the opportunity to correct slight asymmetry with the treatment.

Three weeks post-treatment Bev is ecstatic with the result and reported feeling improved self-esteem and confidence and is certain that the treatment has made her exterior align more closely with her previously more youthful state of mind.
